My research focuses on the use of statistical theory to elucidate the relationship between genotype and phenotype. Areas of research include: 1) development of statistical theory for mapping binary traits 2) applications of statistical theory to modeling plant growth and development 3) applications of statistical theory to understand underlying genetic factors in human disease, particularly cancer and heart disease and 4) development of novel methods for the analysis of microarray data.
